We see John the Theologian speaks when refer  to  the mark  in three different ways... mark, name, number..
When speaking about the number of the Antichrist be mentioned three times in this verse means the same.
So does the Apostle Paulos  three times mentions the word itself, which has to do with the appearance of the Antichrist  (B'Thessalonikis, chapter 2).
 
If  you  replace  letters with  values  (example  A->1 ,B->2)  for  the  name  Edward Joseph Snowden  and add  all digits , will  have  a  total  222...Three  times  222 = 666!!!
 
Let's continue for a while of being Jewish scholars and see what Kabbalah says on the subject of the Messiah and generally on "spiritual" matters.

Nominated in January 2014 as one of five candidates for the Rector of the University of Glasgow, Snowden is a "strong favourite" to be elected for the three-year post. Elections are scheduled for February 2014. The nomination was arranged by a group of Glasgow students along with the help of Snowden's Russian lawyer. A student from the campaign to elect Snowden as their representative stated, "We're giving students a stage, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to voice their own discontent with mass surveillance. By electing Edward Snowden, we're sending a clear message, also to our government, that we will not allow this kind of surveillance
